Transformation through Inspiration

An uplifting, fun intensive that incorporates dynamic asana, creative flows and integrated pranayama as a moving meditation designed to align the body, mind and heart with the Universal Principles of Alignment. Allow your inspiration to help you discover the transformational tools for navigating life’s changes with grace, power, and confidence.

Understanding the Mysteries of Vinyasa

Vinyasa has become a common method for practicing yoga. “Vi” means “to order” and “nyasa” means conscious placement. In this workshop, we will learn the secret toe movement, investigate the whereabouts of the shoulders in Upward Dog, steps to glide through Chatarunga, and how to initiate the transitional actions of vinyasa sequences for efficiency, maximum benefit, and ultimate grace. “Sucessive moments in time can be undertaken in such a way as to bring about yoga… equanimity of mind, or the realization of wholeness” …from the Yoga Sutra of Pantajali.

Happy Hips — Setting your Hips Free

Hip openers are an opportunity for transformation… we habitually store stress and negative emotion in the hip areas as part of our daily routine. Use this workshop to create space in your hips, minds and hearts as we move through postures to open the pelvic floor, alleviate sciatica and low back pain, and generate tremndous energy up the spine so that many poses unfold more easily.

Joyful Backbends — Setting your Spine Free

Experience the bliss of a healthy backbend. Backbends are rejuvenating, provide energy and courage, and combat depression. They open the chest, make the spine flexible, and the arms and shoulders become stronger. The key to developing a helathy backbend is learning how to take pressure off the spine. Through a sequence of backbends, we’ll explore the principles of alignment and the preparatory poses that allow the spine to move freely.

Yin — Yang Workshop

Approach your yoga practice from a new perspective… in this workshop we’ll play with entering the poses from a Yin and a Yang perspective… cultivating a sense of balnce, harmony and completion.

Evolution in Motion

Yamas & Niyamas are living and practicing your yoga beyond your mat to the rest of your life. This enlightening workshop explores the first two limbs of yoga… the concepts of Yama (Social Attitudes) and Niyama (Personal Disciplines) in an asana practice of Yoga and demonstrates how to gracefully and intentionally bring what we experience on the mat into our daily lives.

Want to know more about what Yoga is? How Yoga applies to daily life? or How to practice Yoga away from the mat? The practice of postures is only a starting point. The feeling that we get as a result of our Yoga asana practice opens the possibility of concrete, positive change in every aspect of our lives. The ancient masters knew this and they developed clear, practical tools for applying Yoga in the places where it mattered most: daily life and daily relationships. An enlightening workshop that explores the concepts of Yama (Social Attitudes) and Niyama (Personal Disciplines) in an asana practice of Yoga and how to gracefully and intentionally bring what we experience on the mat into our daily lives.

Asana to Awaken the Chakras

Chakras are the body’s energy centers. There are seven major chakras, located along the spine, and each chakra is essential to the health of specific organs, emotions, and psychological areas of your life. If a chakra is blocked or unbalanced, a person may experience physical or psychological symptoms. Eastern philosophies teach us that mental and physical health require the smooth flow of prana (energy life force) and a balancing of the chakra system.

As we journey through the chakras in this workshop, you will experience:

  • Asanas to unblock and balance the seven chakras
  • How to balance and center your mind, body, and spirit
  • Heart chakra openers to increase the depth and health in your relationships
  • Greater vitality and personal growth
  • New awareness in your personal yoga experience

Combining meditation, pranayama (regulation of the breath through control of prana), self-reflection, and asana practice, this workshop will awaken the chakras by contacting, opening, and clearing them, bringing the body and mind back into balance, and concludes with a relaxing and restful chakra meditation.

Cultivating Inner Peace

Through a vinyasa flow for all levels, we will create the opportunity to plant seeds of god doing on our yoga mat, so that we can allow the ripple effect to reach out and touch (thereby creating a loving change) to the world around us.

The Key to your Heart: Discovering the Joy Within

Through a vinyasa flow for all levels, we will work with connecting the breath to the body, and encourage a meditaiton in action that leads to a sense of bliss and inner peace to carry us through our day and through life with an open heart.

Clarity Workshop

Illuminate your yoga practice. Use this uplifting workshop to cultivate clarity on form, lines of energy, and being present in a state of grace.

Rejuvenation Workshop

Through an uplifting vinyasa practice, we will create a unique opportunity to replenish, renew, and rejuvenate your self in this hectic holiday season
