Helen E. McGee, M.A.
“I am a teacher who informs, inspires, and empowers students and clients to discover their unique path to a joyful, balanced, and harmonious life.”
Feng Shui
As a result of her long-time interest in Eastern philosophy, Helen first discovered Feng Shui in the early 90’s, and later began her formal training as the very fortunate student of Flin McDonald in the time honored oral tradition of the Tibetan Buddhist Black Hat School of Feng Shui. She also is a disciple of His Holiness Grandmaster Professor Thomas Lin Yun Rinpoche, the spiritual leader and founder of Black Sect Tantric Buddhism in its current fourth stage of development. His teachings are philosophical, spiritual, and practical, synthesizing the best of ancient and contemporary knowledge. They incorporate the essence of ancient wisdom such as Confucianism, Taoism, Yin-Yang philosophy, Eclecticism, the I-Ching, Feng Shui, holistic healing, exoteric and esoteric Buddhism, as well as modern knowledge such as psychology, physiology, medicine, architecture, urban planning, interior design, etc. Often asked about the meaning of the name Black Sect, H.H. Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun Rinpoche answers, “Just like the color black absorbs all other colors and becomes blacker, the Black Sect absorbs all the knowledge it encounters, keeps what works, and becomes wiser and more effective.”
Helen is an Affiliate with The Art of Placement under the mentorship of Katherine Metz, and has become a successful Feng Shui Practitioner, Consultant and Lecturer. She feels very blessed to be able to provide information that helps transform living and working spaces into places that cultivate harmony, balance, abundance, and happiness for her clients.
Yoga
Helen began her journey with yoga in the early 80’s and has been teaching since 1996. She completed her Teacher Training program with Erich Schiffmann and has been privileged to do advanced studies in Anusara with John Friend, Viniyoga with Sri T.K.V. Desikachar, Power yoga with Bryan Kest, and Jivamukti yoga with David Life. Helen joyfully blends these styles into a Vinyasa Flow practice that improves flexibility, strength, awareness, and most importantly acceptance. Her welcoming approach encourages new discovery and nurtures the spirit within.
